Welcome, everyone!
Welcome back to another tutorial, makers!
One of my favorite things to sew is strips of fabric because I find myself in a trance under my sewing machine, and at that point, I feel unstoppable. I'm sure when everyone is in the zone, you can relate too! Combing this love to strip piecing, I thought it would be a great idea to show all of you the Bargello Technique, which is made of strips of fabric sewn together to create the appearance of movement. I wanted to capture this technique with a small project so it is easier to ...
Hello friends,
today I'd like to share a super adorable little pouch I designed for my YouTube channel.
I think these Tiny Foldover Pouches are absolutely precious. They finish at approx. 3'' wide x 3 1/4'' tall x 1'' deep and are just the right size to keep one's earbuds or small sewing notions and tools. Or, it could be used as a nice little coin pouch.
To make one of these cuties you will need two panels of quilting cotton for the *exterior, two panels for the lining, and two panels of interfacing (I used Pellon ...

In winter, quilts are for snuggling. We wrap them ‘round our shoulders like thick, cozy cocoons and pile them on our beds to stay toasty through the night.
But in summertime … those quilts take on a whole new life!
We carry them to picnics and t-ball games. We spread them out for fireworks and parades. They join us on camping trips and days at the beach. Summer is adventure time for quilts!
This week Jenny is working on a brand new Summer Squares quilt. It’s a pretty jelly roll pattern based on one of our all-time favorites, Summer in ...

Hi, fabric lovers!
Welcome back to my “Matching Fabrics” series! This has been quite a ride, with such an overwhelming response since the start, I am very excited to be continuing and sharing my knowledge. In my last blog post, we spoke about how important scale was and how to use it. In the last part of that blog, we spoke about the small-scale fabric prints and in this section, I wanted to dive deeper into what that is and how they are also considered a blender fabric.
First, let's talk about the definition of a blender fabric. These ...
If you are confused with stitch lengths, then here’s a video I made to help you better understand how it works and when to use it. I am going to talk about straight stitch lengths only. There are various stitch lengths to choose from but each comes with a purpose. When deciding on stitch lengths there are several factors to consider.
Is it a topstitching prone to wear and tear? Say, for example, when sewing an outer pocket on a wallet. An outer pocket is prone to straining and the stitches might come off easily. This is the reason ...
